International in the most literal sense of the word, THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE is a platform on which diverse cultures and various nationalities light up the heart of the court capital with an innovative and transnational programme. The cultural and artistic 'melting pot' that is THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE boasts a broad music, theatre, film and art platform, as well as tantalising culinary offerings. An event full of surprises that will appeal to all five senses, the festival is set to evolve into a cultural journey over the coming years, taking festival-goers all around the world in one exciting weekend. In its first edition, THE EUROPEAN LIFE I LIVE kickstarts on the picturesque Lange Voorhout square.
The event marks the close of a week-long session of relevant debates and lectures within an international context. This ties in perfectly with the role of The Hague as the International City of Peace and Justice, home to both the Dutch government and the Representation of the European Commission in the Netherlands.
